POCO F1 (PocoPhone) is a recently launched budget, flagship of Xiaomi. It is one of the popular devices among developer community, especially when it comes to custom ROMs like Lineage OS and Pixel Experience ROM. Android 9 Pie based new Pixel Experience ROM is available for POCO F1 with almost every elements working. Below is the installation guide for newbie.

The Pixel Experience ROM brings Google Pixel look and feel to POCO F1 with stock Android 9 Pie, new navigation gestures, Pixel launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation and all other Pie features. Thanks to the XDA developer jhenrique09, Android 9 Pie based Pixel Experience ROM is working excellently with only few issues. The Wi-Fi hotspot function and IR Camera is not working as expected. Apart from these small issues, the ROM is almost stable and can be used as a daily driver. What is more, you can enjoy Google Pixel 3 camera on your Poco F1.

How to Install Android Pie Pixel Experience ROM on POCO F1

1. Download latest build Pixel Experience ROM zip file for POCO F1 (beryllium) from ROM development page

2. Save the ROM zip file on your phone memory.

3. Boot Poco F1 into TWRP (If no TWRP, follow this guide)

4. In TWRP recovery, select Backup and create a Nandroid backup (recommended).

5. Returned to main menu, select Wipe > Advanced Wipe > select Cache, System and Data partitions > swipe to wipe

6. Return to main menu, select Install, navigate and select the Pixel Experience ROM zip file. Follow the on-screen prompt. Once the installation has finished, return to the main menu, select Reboot, and then System.
