You can enable Intelligent Wi-Fi and use it to check the distance of a Wi-Fi router on Samsung Galaxy Phones. Internet speed is dependent on distance of router. When your device is near to the router you will get good signal strength and maximum internet speed.

Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software update brings several cool features for Samsung Galaxy phone users. Maintenance mode, Modes & Routines, Intelligent Wi-Fi, etc., are new additions that One UI 5.0 brings to Galaxy phones.

To check the distance of a Wi-Fi router or a Hotspot, you need to enable the Wi-Fi Developer options. Here is how to activate Wi-Fi Developer options and use the Intelligent Wi-Fi.

How to Enable Wi-Fi Developer Options on Samsung Galaxy Phone?

1. Open the Settings menu on your Galaxy phone running One UI 5.0 or later.

2. Select Connections and tap on the Wi-Fi option.

3. Next, tap on the three vertical dots menu in the top right corner and select Intelligent Wi-Fi.

4. Scroll down and tap on the Intelligent Wi-Fi version repeatedly.

5. It will enable the Wi-Fi Developer Options menu.

How to Check the Distance of a Wi-Fi Hotspot from a Samsung Galaxy Phone?

1. Open the Settings menu and select Connections.

2. Choose Wi-Fi, tap on the three vertical dots menu, and choose Intelligent Wi-Fi.

3. On the next screen, tap on the Wi-Fi Developer Options.

4. Select the Nearby Wi-Fi information tab, and you will see all the available Wi-Fi hotspots and their distance from your phone in a graph.

The Intelligent Wi-Fi option has several features, including Wi-Fi diagnostic tools, information about the quality of the connected network, and the reception of neighboring networks.

For example, the Wi-Fi Analyzer app (download it from Play Store) brings various information about a Wi-Fi connection, and you can use it to measure the distance of a Wi-Fi Hotspot from your Android phone.
