Redmi Note 5 Pro starts getting a new MIUI 10 Global stable update. MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM Global Stable ROM comes with several improvements, optimizations, bug fixes and latest security patches. MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM OTA (over the air) update will rolling out soon or you can download it from below in case you want to install it manually.
Recently, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro (whyred) has been upgraded to MIUI 10 Global stable build (MIUI 10.0.6.0). The latest MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM update fixes the issue with Camera app that accidentally capture burst shots. The update also includes general bug fixes and system optimizations for improved performance. Moreover, the latest security patches enhance security on the device.
If you have not received the MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM on your Redmi Note 5 Pro, check it by going to Settings > About phone > check system update. The OTA update weighs around 500 MB (for devices runs MIUI 10.0.6.0). You can also download and install the official MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM ROM (OTA/Full ROM) manually on Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Note that the new update is still based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Xiaomi not yet announced Android 9 Pie update for Redmi Note 5 Pro (whyred), while several custom ROMs based on Android 9 Pie is available for download, for example the recently released OxygenOS port.

– Redmi Note 5 Pro should have at least a 60% charge left.
– Create a full backup of everything you have on your device.
Installation Guide
1. Save the downloaded ROM zip file on your phone’s internal storage (do not put inside a folder).
2. On your phone, go to Settings > About phone > System updates > Menu (3 dots at the top right) > Choose the update package.
3. Just select the update Zip file you just downloaded to start the installation process.
