Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is one of the most popular devices. It may update to Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10 skin officially, but you need to wait several months to get it, as the company did not revealed any update time schedule. However, Pixel Experience custom ROM brings Android 9.0 (Pie) right now with all the goodies of Google’s latest OS.

Developed by the XDA senior member jhenrique09, the Pixel Experience ROM for Redmi Note 5/Pro (whyred) is beta, but everything is working fine like Wi-fi, RIL, Mobile data, GPS, Camera, Flashlight, etc. The only known bugs are hardware encryption and Miracast/wifi display brocken.

Regarding the Pixel Experience ROM, it is an AOSP based ROM (version: 9.0.0_r1), with Gapps (Google apps) and all Pixel stuffs, such as launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation, etc. are included in this ROM.
