Local Update Method

1. Download the HyperOS firmware for your device.

2. Copy the download .zip file and paste it into the downloaded_rom folder.

3. If the downloaded_rom folder is missing, create the folder on the internal storage.

4. Go to your phone Settings, About Phone, and System Update.

5. Next, tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner and select the Choose Update Package option.

6. If you did not see the Choose Update Package option, tap on the MIUI logo repeatedly to activate the option.

7. Choose the downloaded .zip file, and once the installation process completes, your phone will reboot into the new OS.

Recovery Update Method

1. First, rename the downloaded HyperOS .zip file to update.zip.

2. Copy the update.zip file to your phone’s internal storage (do not paste it into any folder).

3. Next, reboot your phone into recovery mode (Switch off the phone and press both the Power and the Volume Up buttons together).

4. Choose the Install update.zip option using the volume keys, and select the option using the power button.

5. Wait for the update to install, and once complete, reboot your phone to the new operating system.
