Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi Note 7 are launched with a waterdrop notch around the front camera, but it look like a circular notch. The latest MIUI 10 Global Beta update adds a new overlay to handle the notch section on both phones. MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 9.3.21 brings water drop notch on Mi 9 and Redmi Note 7, like it on OnePlus 6T.

Recently, Mi 9 received a stable MIUI 10.2.11.0 update in China with waterdrop notch fix. A similar stable update for Redmi Note 7 with waterdrop notch fix is expected soon. However, early adopters can enjoy the beautiful waterdrop notch with MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM v9.3.21 weekly update.

Besides the water-drop fix, MIUI 10 Global Beta weekly update v 9.3.21 has also included various bug fixes and optimizations. It fixes the lock screen notification bar issue, landscape mode issue, and face prompt issue. The Game toolkit has also optimized and now it supports lock screen auto play.
