If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, you might want to know when my phone gets the Android Oreo update. Samsung has already updated some of its devices to Android Oreo, such as Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge, and some Galaxy A series devices will also get official Oreo update in the coming months. Below is the official list and ETA (expected time of arrival).
According to Samsung official support page (Turkey), Galaxy Note 8 will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update by March 30, 2018. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will get the update by April 13 and Galaxy A7 (2017) will receive the update by May 25. It is also expected that the recently launched 2018 line up, such as Galaxy A8 and A8+ will also get the Oreo update soon.

One you get the update, you will have the Oreo goodies like enhanced Picture-in-Picture, improved copy and paste function, advanced autofill for passwords, new emojis, custom notifications, and much more. Apart from the Oreo goodies, Samsung also brought features to enhance user experience like new clock styles, smart view, new settings for Edge panel and more.
For your information, Google has already released the Android 9.0 P Preview for the Pixel series, and the stable build will be released by August or September 2018. But it will take several months to get the Android 9.0 update on a Samsung phone. (Source 1, 2)
