The MIUI Global Beta team is seeking Android Oreo Beta testers for Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi Mix and Mi Note 2. If you own any of above mentioned device and want to try Android Oreo based MIUI 9 Global Beta Developer ROM on your device, then you can apply for the beta program. There is no region restriction and the application deadline is April 11, 2018.
As you may know, Xiaomi has already updated Mi A1 and Mi 6 to Android 8.0 Oreo and a few other devices have Oreo in the form of beta. It is expected that the company will update most Mi and Redmi phones launched in 2017 and 2018 to Android Oreo 8.0 or 8.1.
To apply for Android Oreo based MIUI 9 Global Beta program on Mi 5, Mi Mix and Mi Note 2 its owners should install the MIUI Forum app v2.0 on the device. After installing the app, open it, select Recruitment. Fill out required information as stated and tap on the Submit button. You will get a forum PM for approval.

Below are the pre-requisites for participating in MIUI 9 Oreo Global Beta program.
– Application Deadline: 11, April 2018, no region restriction
– Should have some knowledge about ROMs
– Willing to discuss with other members in both QQ Beta group and forum
– QQ is necessary, no alternate app
– Communication language English
– Must be active on forum
The Android Oreo will bring new features like enhanced notifications system, Picture-in-Picture mode, new Emojis, Adaptive Icons, Project Treble (only supported devices), quick boot, multiple display support, improved Doze, faster performance and enhanced security to the device. (source)
