Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched a month ago with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Released under the Android One program, Mi A2 owners can now try-out pre-release version of the upcoming Android 9 Pie update. Xiaomi is inviting beta testers for the device in India. Interested users can join for the beta program before 31, August 2018.

Though nothing revealed about the Android version, in all the probability, the beta version might be based on the Android 9 Pie. Recently, the Chinese company rolled out August 2018 security update for Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite with improved stability and performance optimization.

If you own Xiaomi Mi A2 and your Mi community ranking is ‘Advanced Bunny’ (at least), then you can apply for the beta program. Interested users can apply for the beta test by going here. The application deadline is August 31, 2018. Selected users will be announced on or before 2nd Sept, 2018.

Below are the pre-requisites for participating in Mi A2 Beta Program:

– Mi Community ranking/title should be ‘Advanced Bunny’ at least.
– An active member of Mi Community, India.
– Should follow the rules of Mi Community & not leak the ROM provided to him/her during beta testing.
– Should not post anything related to the beta team on Social Media, in other community section or elsewhere
– Should have a thorough knowledge Android.
– Being a special team member includes few major responsibilities which he/she needs to follow.
– Telegram User ID is must so update your profile on Mi Community. All the related discussions regarding OTA and bugs will happen only in telegram group.

The Mi A2 comes with a 5.99 – inch FHD+, 18:9 full screen and beautiful design. The handset powers by Snapdragon 660 processor and it comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM options. The available storage options are 32 GB, 64GB and 128 GB. Regarding the camera, the Mi A2 packs a 12MP + 20MP dual camera on the rear and a 20MP AI Camera on the front for selfies.
