After announcing the unexpected news about Android P update for OnePlus 3 and 3T, the company announced new update for tech-savvy owners of OnePlus 5 and 5T. Thanks to the official forum, OxygenOS Open Beta 15 for OnePlus 5 and the Open Beta 13 for OnePlus 5T are now available. Below is what is new in this update.

The new update does not include any major features, except optimization and bug fixes. The update optimizes Pocket Mode in order to reduce accidental touches. In addition, it will bring New Feedback Tool that is integrated into the Community app. You can submit bug reports and share feedback directly from the app.

OnePlus 5T

Changelog:

– Community: New Feedback Tool integrated into community app (you can submit bug reports and share feedback from the Community app)

– System: Optimization for the pocket mode to reduce accidental touches

– July 2018 Android security patch

As always, the OxygenOS Open Beta 15/13 rollout is incremental, so it will take few hours or even few days to reach the OTA on all OnePlus 5 and 5T running on the Open Beta channel.

In case you want to get the update without waiting for the OTA, we suggest using a VPN and setting the location to Canada or Germany. Alternatively, try using the Oxygen Updater app.

You can also download latest OxygenOS Open Beta builds from OnePlus download section here and flash manually. After downloading the update file, install the update via stock recovery as described here. Keep in mind that since this is a beta OS, it is possible you will run into bugs and other instabilities.
