Xiaomi released MIUI 10 Global Beta weekly build 8.8.2 and available for download on all supported Mi/Redmi devices. This update does not include any new major features; it mainly focuses on system optimization and bug fixes. There were some important bugs in the previous build, like no notification on the lock screen, which are fixed in this week’s update.
Xiaomi Mi/Redmi phones running on the previous MIUI 10 Global Beta build or MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM will get the update via OTA (over-the-air). Go to ‘Updater’ app and check for the new update. You can also install MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.8.2 manually by downloading recovery or fastboot ROM.
Important bug Fixes:
Fix – “Verification” should be “certification” in settings (Redmi Note 5 Pro)
Fix – No notification on lock screen (Mi 6?
Fix – Notification LED doesn’t work when a message is received (Mi 5)
MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.8.2 supports Redmi 4X, Mi 5, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm/Redmi Note 4X, Mi Max 2, Redmi Note 5A/Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Note 5A Prime/Redmi Y1, Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Mi 6, Mi MIX 2, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5 Pro/Redmi Note 5, Mi MIX 2S, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, and Mi MIX.
Devices running on Global Beta ROM can download the Recovery ROM [Download] and flash via Updater app. Or, you can install the recovery ROM via TWRP.
