The POCOPHONE F1 was launched in August by Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO. Due to the low price and top of the range specifications, the phone has wider acceptance in the smartphone market. We have already seen many custom ROMs for POCO F1, like the Pixel Experience, and the latest addition is popular LineageOS 16. If you are not a great fan of MIUI, then you can install the LineageOS 16.0 on POCO F1.
POCOPHONE F1 features customized MIUI with app drawer functionality, App Shortcut function and much more. The phone will also be upgraded to Android 9 Pie. However, if you are looking for everyone talks LineageOS for your POCO F1, then download the Android 9 Pie based LineageOS 16.0 unofficial build (Beryllium) and flash via TWRP.
The good news is that the unofficial LineageOS 16.0 port for POCO F1 (Beryllium) is almost stable with everything working, except IR camera for face unlock. Note that the official LineageOS 16 not yet released for any device, however the development team has already started to build LineageOS 16 based on Android 9.0 Pie. You can expect a fully featured build for POCO F1 in the future.
As usual, to flash the ROM requires unlocked bootloader. In addition, since the ROM is not in GSI category, TWRP custom Recovery needs to be installed on the phone to flash it. The ROM does not include Gapps (Google apps), so download Android Pie based open Gapps package and flash separately after flashing the ROM.
