Huawei P Smart and P20 Lite starts getting GPU Turbo Acceleration update in Europe along with August 2018 Android security patch. This new technology will ensure smooth gaming experience on the phone, though it is currently only adapted for some games. The update will also include some UI fixes, optimizations and general bug fixes.

Recently, the company rolled out GPU Turbo for Mate 10 Pro and Huawei P 20 Pro. Mate 10, Mate 10 Lite, Huawei P20, Nova 2i, Huawei Y9 2018, Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are other confirmed list of devices that get the GPU Turbo Acceleration technology update.

Huawei-P20-Pro

GPU Turbo is a hardware-software integration and graphics processing acceleration technology, which will improve the graphics processing efficiency by 60 percent while reducing the SoC energy consumption by 30 percent. It’s recommended that you enable Game acceleration in Game Suite for a better gaming experience.

What is new in this update?

– Integrates Google security patches released in Aug 2018 for improved system security
– Adds the Huawei GPU Turbo acceleration technology
– Optimizes the screen-recording feature. You can now record screens without a time limit.
– Optimizes the UI text display of certain filters when editing a picture
– Adds an app recommendation feature to Top Apps in drawer mode
– Optimizes the calling feature

Both Huawei P Smart (FIG-LX1) and P 20 Lite (ANE-LX1) will get the update soon. If your device model is FIG-LX1C432, FIG-L11C432, FIG-L31C432, ANE-LX1C432, ANE-L21C432 and ANE-L01C432, check the update manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > check for the new firmware.

You can also try to install the update through Huawei HiCare app. Install the app from Play store, and see any update for your device.

Experienced users can download and install the update manually. All you need Huawei Firmware finder app and knowledge in flashing stock firmware on Huawei or Honor phone.
