Essential has released Android Oreo Beta 3 (build OPM1.170911.254) for its Essential Phone PH-1 with January 2018 security patches including Spectre and Meltdown vulnerability fix alongside various stability and bug fixes. PH-1 Phone runs Oreo Beta 2 will get this software update via OTA (over the air). If you are on stable release, you can sideload this update right now via ADB. Essential Phone PH-1 Oreo Beta 3 (OPM1.170911.254) OTA updates weighs around 106MB in size and it does not include any new major features, except latest security patches (2018-01) and minor bug fixes. The stable release of Android 8.0 Oreo for the phone is not yet announced, but interested users can try the Oreo beta build right now that bring all the features of Oreo to the phone.
