After releasing August security update for OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 5/5T and OnePlus 3/3T, OnePlus is now pushing the update for OnePlus 6 and 6T. OxygenOS 9.0.8 for OnePlus 6 and 9.0.16 for OnePlus 6T adds new Fnatic gaming mode, DC dimming brightness control feature, additional feature for Zen mode, various improvements and bug fixes alongside August patch.

OxygenOS 9.0.8 and 9.0.16 OTA for OnePlus 6 and 6T is rolling out now, and it will take few days to complete it. Here is the download link for OxygenOS 9.0.8/9.0.16 OTA and full ROM that you can use to update your device via Local Upgrade.

OnePlus starts rolling out the OTA update. If you haven’t received the update notification on your device, check it by going to Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates. Alternately, download the full OTA/full update zip file from below link and install manually.

To install the firmware update manually, all you need to save the downloaded zip file in the root directory (not in any folder) of your OnePlus device, go to System updates menu and choose Local Upgrade. Your phone will start installing the update. (source)
