A new OxygenOS 9.5 update for OnePlus 7 Pro has released with August 2019 security patches and system optimizations. Latest OxygenOS 9.5.11 update will also carry updated GMS (June 2019), general bug fixes and improvements. It will also improve the touch screen sensitivity for games.

OnePlus 7 Pro has high-tire specifications and features. For example, flagship Snapdragon 855 Octa-core processor, 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, triple camera set up with 48MP main camera, and pop-up selfie camera.

Running on the Android 9 Pie-based OxygenOS 9.5, OnePlus 7 Pro received a couple of software updates with several improvements and bug fixes since the launch. Since the phone is part of Android Q beta program, it probably will get Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 before next year.

The latest OxygenOS 9.5.11 includes the following changes.

  • Adaptive Brightness optimization
  • Optimized the sensitiveness of the screen touch while gaming
  • Optimized the accidental touches with notification bar in calling
  • Updated GMS to 2019.06
  • Updated Android security patch to 2019.08/li>
  • General bug fixes and improvements

OnePlus starts rolling out the OTA update. We recommend updating your device to this version, as it includes several optimizations and latest security patches to protect you from vulnerabilities. Check your update by going to Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates.

To install the firmware update manually, all you need to save the downloaded zip file in the root directory (not in any folder) of your OnePlus device.

Open the Settings app, click System updates menu, then tap on the top right settings icon and choose Local Upgrade. It will start searching for an upgrade package. Once you see an upgrade package, tap on it and then click the install option.
