Latest Android 9 Pie based MIUI Global stable update for the Redmi Note 7 released with May 2019 security patches and system improvements. The OTA update with software version starts rolling out for Redmi Note 7. All global users will get the update in the coming days. Redmi Note 7 was launched in January 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. One of the attractive features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is its 48MP back camera and it uses Samsung GM1 sensor. The device recently received a couple of software updates to improve performance and features of the handset. The latest MIUI update improves system security and fixes few bugs.

The Chinese giant starts rolling out the MIUI PFGMIXM OTA update. Since the rollout in stages, Redmi Note 7 users need to wait a couple of days to get it on their device.

How to Install OTA update

You can check for the update on your phone by going to Settings > About phone > check system update.

To download the OTA update, launch the “Updater” app on your Redmi Note 7 and tap on “Check for updates”. If the update found, tap on “Install” to download the OTA update.
