Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro features an under-display fingerprint sensor, and it will show its icon on the lock screen. Sometimes Redmi K20 Pro won’t show fingerprint icon on the lock screen. Xiaomi fixed the issue with a software update MIUI V10.3.5.0. The OTA update is now available for Redmi K20 Pro variant in India.

The MIUI 10.3.5.0 PFKINXM update will also include optimization for the sound section of Redmi K20 Pro. It will reduce noise at low volume for earphone and speakers. The update also carries general bug fixes and latest security patches.

Redmi K20 Pro MIUI 10.3.5.0 PFKINXM update is rolling out now. Launch the“Updater” app and tap on “Check for updates” to see the available update. Alternatively, download the update file from below and install it manually.

Note: If this update didn’t fixed the issue or the fingerprint icon never show on the lock screen, then check these settings on your Redmi K20 Pro.

  • Open Settings menu and tap on “Lock screen & password
  • Tap on “Manage Fingerprint” (You may need to enter your lock screen password)
  • Check the option “Show fingerprint icon when the screen is off” is disabled.

1. Download Recovery ROM or OTA to Redmi K20 Pro from above link

2. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates > Menu (3 dots at the top right) > Choose the update package

3. Select the update Zip file you just downloaded to start the installation process.
