OxygenOS Open Beta 31 and Open Beta 29 for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T released. This update adds a new UI for system update screen and displays overheating device warning. OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T will also get a similar update soon, and it will be OxygenOS Open Beta 17 and Open Beta 9 respectively.

A few days back OnePlus released OxygenOS 9.0.5 update with April 2019 security patches for OnePlus 5/5T running on the stable channel. This beta update carries the April patches and brings some changes to the system, Quick Reply, and Community app.

– Supported more IM APPs for Quick Reply in landscape
– Apps don’t get paused when using quick reply in landscape

– Optimized search experience by adding search field, and grouping search results in different categories
– Improved the UI of Social page
– Optimized Log recording in Bug Report section

Note that the update will roll out in stages via over the air and will reach on all devices soon. To get the OTA update early, use any VPN app, set the location to Germany or Canada, and then check it in the System update menu.

Keep in mind that the official stable OTA update will not get on your phone after installing the beta build. To return to the OxygenOS stable channel, you need to download stable firmware from OnePlus download section and install it manually. Do not forget to backup data first.
