OnePlus 5, 5T, 6 and 6T that are part of the OxygenOS Open beta program gets a new update. OnePlus released OxygenOS Open Beta 29, 27, 15 and 7 for OnePlus 5, 5T, 6 and 6T respectively. There are several changes and optimization in this update compared to the previous builds that were released about a week ago. Below is the full changeog and download links.

Except improved Photo Editor for OnePlus 6 and 6T, all other features and changes are unique for each device. Screenshot UI optimizations, improved color adaptation for cards in the shelf, permissions migration support for applications, etc are some of the common features of this update.

As always, the incremental update is rolling out via over the air and will reach it on all devices soon. You can also use any VPN app, set the location to Germany or Canada, and then check for the update by going to System update menu.

If your phone is on stable OxygenOS build and want to move to Open Beta, then you can download full firmware and install it manually.

Installation Instruction

Installing OxygenOS Open Beta build is not a too complicated process. You can install the firmware with locked bootloader or TWRP. Check this guide for instruction.

Note that, you will not receive official stable OTA update after installing the beta build. To return to the OxygenOS stable channel, it is necessary to perform a clean installation. It means all your data will lose.
