Xiaomi Mi A1 users can now get Android 8.1 Oreo unofficially. The Resurrection Remix team has released Android 8.1 Oreo based custom ROM (RR-O-v6.0.0) for Mi A1 (code named tissot). If your device’s bootloder is unlocked and replaced the recovery with TWRP custom recovery, then you can download and install Resurrection Remix right now.

Xiaomi has released Android 8.0 Oreo update for its first Android One phone Mi A1. It is expected that the company will release Android 8.1 Oreo with March 2018 security patch anytime soon. However, custom ROM fans can try the Resurrection Remix Oreo 8.1 build on their Mi A1.

The latest RR-O-v6.0.0 version of Resurrection Remix custom ROM comes with a ton of features and customization options to enhance user experience. You can tweak most part of the system to make your device your own. Also, you can enjoy native Android 8.1 Oreo features on your device.

How to Flash Resurrection Remix RR-O-v6.0.0 on Mi A1

1. Download the Resurrection Remix (RR-O-v6.0.0) from here.

2. Download Android 8.1 ARM 64 compatible Gapps zip files from here.

3. Save both zip files on your device.

4. Boot your device into TWRP Recovery mode.

5. In TWRP, select Wipe > Advanced Wipe > and wipe your data partition fully

6. Now, select ‘Install’, choose the ROM zip file and swipe to install it.

Once the installation process has been completed, select Reboot > System. Enjoy features of your new ROM.
