If you don’t have a Wi-Fi router at your home to share internet with your iPhone, Android or tablet PC, you can convert your Windows 7 or Windows 8 Laptop (or any Wi-Fi enabled Windows PC) into a Wi-Fi Hotspot at no extra cost. So you can share your internet connection (Wi-Fi, LAN, Cable Modem, Dial-up, etc.) with any Wi-Fi enabled device such as Laptop, iPhone, Android, wireless printer, etc.

Though there is a manual way to turn Windows 8 or Windows 7 into a Wi-Fi Hotspot, the freeware tool “Virtual Router Plus” makes it a dead simple process. Just a single click will convert your PC into a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Once you turn your laptop into a virtual router, you can connect any Wi-Fi enabled device to this virtual router just like any other access point, and the connection is completely secured using WPA2.

How to Install and Configure Virtual Router Plus?

Virtual Router Plus requires no installation. Download and unzip it, then run the exe file. Enter Network Name (SSID) and Password to secure your Wi-Fi connection.
