Realme UI 1.0 update is available for Realme XT and other devices. Realme UI is a modified version of ColorOS and based on Android 10. Overhauled UI, new features like Smart Sidebar, Edge Light, and Android 10 goodies are some of the main components of the update. If you have updated your Realme XT, here is how you can use the new Screen Light Effects feature.

The Screen Light Effects is similar to Edge lighting of the Samsung Galaxy phones that lights up the edge of the screen when you receive calls and notifications. Realme XT users can enjoy this cool feature once they updated their device to Realme UI.

How to Enable the Screen Light Effect on Realme Phone

To enable Screen Light Effects on Realme X and XT, follow the below steps:

  1. Open Settings > and tap on Display & Brightness
  2. In the next screen, tap on Screen Light Effects to turn on the toggle

How to Customize the Screen Light Effect

You can customize the edge light color as per your mood. Available color effects are Neon Purple, Ocean Blue, and Amber Orange. To customize color effect for incoming calls and notifications, follow the below steps:

  1. Tap on Light color for Incoming calls
  2. Choose a color from the available options.
  3. Tap on Light color for Lock screen notification
  4. Select a color effect for calls.

Apart from the Edge lighting, the new Realme UI 1.0 (Android 10) has some other cool features as well. For example, you can customize the icon shape and size, use both audio jack and wireless headphones simultaneously, and freeze apps that are using rarely.

Personal information protection, Focus Mode (similar to Zen mode), Smart sidebar, and screen recorder with internal audio are some other features of Realme UI.

Update: Realme X has also received the Screen Light Effect feature with the March 2020 security update (RMX1901EX_11.C.02). Follow the instruction above to enable the cool feature on your device.

    I am using realme 7 pro, after taking this phone i did a update with out checking old one, that I believe update will give me spacial feature. But I am unable to find edge light effect for notification.
    Can you please help me for this?
