Rootless Pixel Launcher that brings full features of Google Pixel Launcher to any phone has been updated to version 3.6 with new features, bug fixes and optimizations. This version allows users to select their own theme, so that the system theme will not change according to wallpaper. Users can select Dark, Light, Transparent or set Default or Automatic.

Rootless Pixel Launcher is based on Google Pixel 2 Launcher and brings Android 8.1 Oreo features to any Android phone without root access. Both AOSP and Android Go versions of the launcher are available for download. The launcher does not offer much customization options like Nova launcher, but it will definitely give a neat and clean look to your phone.

The highlighted feature of this update (v3.6) is manual theme selection (Home settings > Theme). Available options are given below:

Automatic: Will apply a theme based on the wallpaper

Default: The default light background theme

Dark: The dark background theme

Light: Has a brighter white background in the app drawer than default, and has dark text to complement it

Transparent: Based on the dark theme, but makes the app drawer more transparent so you can see more of your wallpaper

Rootless Pixel Launcher version 3.6 also fixes many bugs like the black navigation bar on LG phones, app drawer not open fully, never scroll the home screen when app drawer is visible, and more. You can read full changelog at here.
