Asus released new software update for ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS550KL variant with July security patch, system stability improvements and various bug fixes. The FOTA update with software version WW_V80.30.123.46 starts rolling out to ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5-inch variant and it may take a few days to appear on your device.
A couple of months back, Asus upgraded all variants of ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL, ZS570KL and ZS570KL Pro) to Android 8.0 Oreo with some important changes to launcher and system performance improvements. The new update fixes VPN setting crash issue, GPS Power consumption issue, and more.

Since the OTA roll out in phases, it will take few days to get the update on all devices. Check the update manually by going to Settings > System > System updates.
You can also download and install the update on your ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) manually. ASUS has made available full firmware for download, if you cannot install the OTA. Suggest to backup data before starting the software update.
How to Install Software Update Manually on ZenFone 3 Deluxe
1. Download latest firmware update zip file for ZS550KL from Asus website here
2. Double click the downloaded firmware zip file to see another zip file it.
Note: If another zip file found inside it, unzip the downloaded firmware zip file
3. Connect your phone to your PC, move the update zip file to the root directory of your phone’s internal storage and then disconnect from PC.
4. You will see firmware update notification popped up on status bar.
5. Select it and follow steps to update firmware.
After completing the installation, your ZenFone 3.0 Deluxe will reboot into the new version.)
