Announced in June, the low-end Xiaomi Redmi 6 was launched a couple of weeks ago in India with MIUI 9 out of the box. The device is now receiving new software update that brings Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 10 Global Stable build. The OTA update will take a few days or even a few weeks to reach the device. At the same time, Redmi 6 (code-named “cereus”) MIUI 10 Global Stable update zip file is available for download that you can install manually without wiping data.

MIUI 10 Global Stable update will bring several new features on Redmi 6 like fast and responsive UI, AI camera Portrait mode, new Recents app menu, nature sound for system and more. If you are interested, you can download and install the MIUI 10 Global Stable update zip file (link below) via MIUI system updater app. The update file weighs around 1.2GB.

Xiaomi-Redmi-6 Gets MIUI 10 Global Stable Update

Recently, a number Xiaomi Mi and Redmi phones are received MIUI 10 Global Stable update. Few days back, the company updated Redmi 5 Plus (Redmi Note 5 in India) to MIUI 10. More devices, including the Redmi 6A variant will get the update soon.

[Update] Xiaomi Redmi 6A has also updated to MIUI 10 Global stable version.

How to Install MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM on Redmi 6/6A

1. Download Redmi 6 MIUI 10 Global stable update zip file [here] and for Redmi 6A from here.

2. Transfer the downloaded ROM zip file on your phone.

3. Now, go to Settings > About phone > System Updates.

4. Tap on the option “Choose update package”.

5. Navigate to the zip file to flash it.

Note that if your device is running on the MIUI Global Beta ROM, you should download the fastboot ROM and flash it manually via your PC. (source)
