Nokia assured a stable Android 10 update for Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, and Nokia 7.1 before January 2020. As promised, all three devices now updated to the latest Android version. After releasing the firmware for the first two devices, the stable Android 10 OTA updates (build version 4.08B) start hitting the Nokia 7.1 unit in several regions.

Android 10 firmware installs November 2019 security patch and several new features on Nokia 7.1. New features included in the update are Dark mode, new gesture navigation, Smart replies, Digital Wellbeing, and additional controls for privacy and location.

The stable Android 10 OTA update for Nokia 7.1 (v4.08B) weighs around 1.2 GB in size. The incremental OTA update will take a few days to get across the globe. You can check it manually on the device by going to Settings > About phone > System updates.

In case you cannot wait for the OTA, download the full OTA zip file (link) (Nokia 7.1 global variant) and flash it manually as given here.

FYI, HMD Global (Nokia) will upgrade 17 devices to Android 10 before Q2 2020. According to an update road map, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus will get a stable Android 10 update in January 2020.

Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2 will get the update in February 2020. It is expected that Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 5.1 Plus, and Nokia 1 Plus will receive the stable Android 10 update in March 2020.
