Xiaomi has released latest MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.9.15 ROM for supported devices with a bunch of fixes and optimizations alongside new set of ringtones. MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.9.15 fastboot and recovery images are now available for download on supported devices, such as Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 4i, Redmi 3S, Mi Note, Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi Max, Redmi 2, and few others. The latest version of MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.9.15 fixes issue of camera and scanner app. Also, this update fixes Mi Remote force close issues and optimizes themes, button and gesture shortcuts. Also, this update introduces a set of new ringtones (for India only). Below are the full changelog of the update.

The MIUI 9 beta update brings features like Image Search, Smart Assistant, and Smart App Launcher alongside performance enhancements. MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.9.15 from below link.

Keep in mind that MIUI 9 will not bring Android Nougat to all devices. Only supported devices like Mi 5, Mi Mix, etc. will get the Nougat update. For device like Redmi 3S, Mi 4i, etc. the update is Marshmallow.

You can download MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.9.15 for your device from here. Both Fastboot and Recovery ROMs are available.

If you are running on the MIUI 8 Global Beta version, use Recovery ROM. Other users need to download Fastboot ROM and flash manually.

Note: Fastboot image require a factory reset on your phone, so back up data before proceeding.

How to Install MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM

Recovery method:

1. Save the downloaded recovery image (link above) on your phone’s internal storage.

2. Launch the ‘Updater’ app on your phone. Tap the setting icon (3 dots) at the top-right corner, select ‘Choose update package’, and choose the ROM zip file you have just saved on your phone.

3. The flashing process will start and this will take some time to finish.

Once the installation process is finished, your device should automatically boot to the new version.
