It’s been around two months now since Verizon updated Moto Z2 Force to Android 8.0 Oreo in the US and recently T-Mobile has also updated the device to Oreo. And now, AT&T Moto Z2 Force (XT1789) has also got the Android 8.0 Oreo update with January 2018 security patches. The OTA (over-the-air) update with build number OCX27.109-47 starts rolling out to the device and it may take some times to get it on your device.

The release note does not mention anything new about the Oreo update, except January 2018 security patches. However, AT&T Moto Z2 Force user can enjoy Oreo features like revamped UI, Autofill Framework, PIP (Picture in Picture mode), quick boot, Smart Text selection, Instant apps, improved battery life and more.

AT&T Moto Z2 Force (XT1789) Oreo update (build OCX27.109-47) weighs around 334MB and as the OTA update is rolling out in phases, it will take several days to get on your device.

How to Install Oreo OTA Update on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force

If you have not received OTA notification message for this update, follow the steps below to manually update your phone.

Before proceeding, ensure at least 50% battery charge remaining on the phone and connect your device to Wi-Fi to download the update.

How to manually check Oreo OTA update?

1. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates.

2. Select “Yes, I’m in”.

3. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.

4. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
