Great news for OnePlus 6 owners! New OxygenOS Open Beta 7 brings Video Enhancer and virtual SIM called “OnePlus Roaming” to OnePlus 6. Video Enhancer enhances colors for a better experience while watching videos on the handset. While the OnePlus Roaming is like virtual SIM card, that lets you surf the internet in any country without a local SIM card.

OxygenOS Open Beta 7 for the OnePlus 6 is now rolling out and the incremental OTA update will take few hours or even few days to reach to all phones running on the Open Beta channel. Along with Video Enhancer and OnePlus Roaming features, Open Beta 7 brings following changelogs as well.

Note that the Video Enhancer settings is located under Display settings ( Settings -> Display) and the OnePlus Roaming settings is located under Wi-Fi & Internet settings menu (Settings -> Wi-Fi & Internet -> OnePlus Roaming)

OnePlus Roaming is the most notable feature of OxygenOS Open Beta 7 update. It works like a virtual SIM for OnePlus 6 that lets you surf the internet without a local SIM. However, this feature does not offer a call facility. It should work in most of the countries/regions, and it will list out the plans available for the country/regions you are in so that you can purchase a suitable plan and access the Internet without a SIM.

OxygenOS Open Beta 7 OTA update is live now and it will take few days to complete the roll out. In case you want to get the update early, use a VPN app, set the location to Canada or Germany and search for the new updates.

After downloading the file, power down the phone, then boot it into recovery by using Volume Down and Power button combination.
