Asus recently announced Android 9.0 (Pie) update for ZenFone Max Pro M1 (ZB601KL and ZB602KL), so users can expect the latest Android build anytime soon. February update (15.2016.1902.340) includes the following changes:

1. Update GMS 8.1_201812.
2. Update Google security patch (2019.Feb)
3. Improve camera app translation issue

If you haven’t received the February 2019 update notification on ZenFone Max Pro M1, check it manually by going to Settings -> About – > System Update. Alternatively, you can download the full update file (1.5 GB) and install manually.
