Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 starts getting January 2019 security update along with a new camera feature ‘AI Camera Scene detect’. The January update is now available for ZenFone Max Pro (M2) ZB630 KL variant and it comes with build number 15.2016.1901.186. Below is download link, official update log and installation guide.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 was launched with stock Android 8.1 Oreo, Snapdragon 660 processor with AI, 6.26-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels; 19:9) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 6 protection, 12MP +5MP dual back camera, 13MP front camera, 5,000 mAh with 18W fast charging and 3GB + 32GB/4GB + 64GB / 6GB +64GB RAM/storage options.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 was launched with stock Android (Oreo 8.1) and it will be update to Android 9 Pie shortly with stock Android features. Most probably, Asus will roll out Android 9 Pie update for this phone by this month January.

One of the best features of latest update for ZenFone Max Pro M2 (ZB630KL_IN_15.2016.1901.186) is AI Scene detect. This feature suggests a suitable preset mode when you take photos, such as nature mode, food mode, etc. The update will also improve front camera quality.
