ZenFone 6 (Asus 6z) is Asus’s latest flagship phone that offers something different to most flagships on the market. All-display design, flip camera, ZenUI 6 features, and affordable price are an example. Since the launch, Asus added several new features to its camera like the Super Night Mode, Night Mode for Selfie, HDR++ and more.

ZenFone 6 (known as Asus 6z in India) is now getting ARCore, 8x Zoom in Photo mode and June 2019 security patch via the latest update. The latest software update (build 16.1210.1906.156) is now available for EU variant ZenFone 6 ZS630KL. The update for other region is imminent.

The incremental OTA update is live now. Since the update is rolling out in stages, it will take a couple of days or weeks to receive the update.

Check for the update manually by going to Settings > About > System update > Check update. If update available, follow the on screen instruction to execute update.

The 16.1210.1906.156update adds following changes and features to ZenFone 6 (Asus 6z):

  • Enabled ARCore
  • Improved Video Call Experience
  • Enabled 8X zoom in Photo mode
  • Removed the time limit for FHD video recording
  • Added the function: to start/stop video recording with Volume Keys in Camera app
  • Optimized Screenshot Stability and solved bug related to screenshot functionality
  • Enabled Taiwan Mobile VoWiFi
  • Improved Photo Image Quality on Noise Reduction
  • Improved Camera Flipping Stability
  • Updated Security Patch to June, 2019
  • Updated Translation Strings in Settings

Download and install the update

Users of ZenFone 6 who prefer manual installation, or unable to apply FOTA update on your device, then go to Asus official website to download the latest firmware.
