Huawei has started beta testing Android 9 Pie (EMUI 9.0) and already have invited people to joining the beta program. Interested users can sign up for Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 Beta Program by going here. Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Honor 10, Honor View 10 and Honor Play are eligible devices for the beta program. However, note that Huawei’s Pie beta program is not open for all users.

There is good news for tech-savvy owners of Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro. Even if you have not selected for the beta program, you can download and install the latest EMUI 9.0 (Android 9 Pie Beta) on your device, thanks to XDA senior member a1Pha. However, your device’s bootloader should be unlocked, FRP unlocked and rooted.

Install EMUI 9.0 on Huawei-P20-Pro

In this guide, we show you how to install EMUI 9.0 (Android 9 Pie Beta) on Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro unofficially. If you own a European variant CLT-L09 or CLT-L29 or EML- L09 or EML-L29 (Cust C432), then you can install the build at your own risk.

Note that the below guide requires a device with bootloader unlocked, FRP unlocked and rooted. Unfortunately, Huawei stopped bootloader unlocking service, so if you have not already unlocked, you are unlucky.
