The recently launched Xiaomi Poco F1 received its first software update with a number of fixes and improvements. The new MIUI 9.6.18.0 update improves camera performance, adds AOSP navigation buttons, fixes bugs and optimizes the recording process for dual mic on the handset. As usual, the update (9.6.18.0.OEJMIFD) is pushed via OTA (over-the-air) and it may take a week or a month to get it on all devices.
If you own Poco F1 and the new MIUI 9.6.18.0.OEJMIFD update is not yet arrived on your device, check it by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. Alternatively, if you cannot wait for the OTA or if you are out of Wi-Fi coverage area, then you can also download the 9.6.18.0.OEJMIFD recovery or fastboot ROM and flash it manually.

Installation guide: After downloading the required firmware file, follow this detailed installation instruction.
There are three methods to install software update on Poco F1. The first two methods (Updater app and stock Recovery methods) are very simple, but your device should be on the latest stable version of MIUI ROM.
The third and last Fastboot method is bit complicated and required unlocked bootloader. However, the ROM version you are on is not important.
