Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update (build number NPJ25.93-11) for Moto G4 Plus (XT1643) In India. As the OTA (over the air) update is rolling out in phases, not all will get the update immediately. Users need to wait few more days to get it on their G4 Plus. However, if you have any issue updating the OTA, here is how to manually install the Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update on Moto G4 Plus (XT1643) Indian variant.

2. Transfer the zip file to your phone’s SD card

3. Now, turn off your phone and boot into stock recovery mode (press and hold Power + Volume Down button few seconds)

4. In stock recovery, choose Apply update from SD card and then select the zip you have copied to your SD card.

  1. I have download the zip file from above link but unable to install the update.
    While installing error is occurring as installation is aborted as device has 7.0/NPJS25.93-14-15/5.
    Please help and suggest.

  2. Its not showing in auto update. Every time i clicked on OTA update they show me you got the latest version. But in market there is already a new patch available.

    I have manually updated by Moto G4 Plus to Android 7. The patch shows October 2016 and build number shows as NPJ25.75-2. Now, there December16 patch is available in the market for moto G4 Plus in India and I am unable to fetch.

    When shall i receive the update for my Moto g4 plus in India with December 16 or later patches?

  7. To install OTA update, your device should be running latest version of stock rom, stock recovery and unlocked bootloader.
