Official TWRP support is always very important for tech-savvy owners of Android smrtphone. The good news is that Team Win Recovery Project has already been released official TWRP for many devices and the latest addition is Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Installing TWRP on Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (code-named Daisy) is not a complicated process, but since the device uses the latest AB partitioning system there is slight changes in the installation process.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is a beautifully designed, budget smartphone, which was launched under the Android One program with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. This budget device features stock Android enhanced with Mi features and guarantee Android Pie software updates. If you want to replace stock recovery with TWRP, read on to know how exactly it is.

Install TWRP on Xiaomi-Mi-A2-Lite

TWRP Recovery offers additional features over stock recovery, such as create full system backups (Nandroid backup), restore the backup, flash custom ROMs, Mods, Apps, and more. Above all TWRP is the starting point for making changes that are more interesting on your Android smartphone.

Please note that to install TWRP on Mi A2 Lite (code-named Daisy), you need to unlock the bootloader, which means your device’s warranty will void, so proceed at your own risk. In addition, unlocking your bootloader will cause you to lose all of the data from your phone, so be sure to back up any necessary information.

How to Install TWRP on Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite

Requirements;

– Mi A2 Lite with unlocked bootloader
– ADB and Fastboot driver on PC
– Download twrp-3.2.3-0-daisy.img
– Download twrp-installer-daisy-3.2.3-0.zip

Installation Instruction

1. Save the downloaded twrp-3.2.3-0-daisy.img inside the ADB folder.

2. Transfer the twrp-installer-daisy-3.2.3-0.zip to your phone’s SD card

3. Switch off Mi A2 Lite. Hold Volume Down button and press Power button. Your device should now be in the bootloader.

4. Connect the device to your PC. Open a command prompt from ADB directory and run the following command:

fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-daisy.img

5. The above command will boot your device into TWRP temporarily. Go to install and browse to the twrp-installer-daisy-3.2.3-0.zip and install the zip. The zip will install TWRP to both boot slots.

6. Once done, reboot your phone.

After installing TWRP, you can use Magisk to root your Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite.
