Motorola was first introduced the Smart Driving Mode on its Moto X smartphone back in 2013. Motorola’s Driving Assist automatically identifies you are driving and helps you stay focused on the road. Realme’s Smart Driving and Riding Mode have also offered similar functions when you are driving your car or motorbike.

What’s Smart Driving mode in the Realme smartphone? This feature offers distraction-free driving. In this mode, all unnecessary notifications will mute (except incoming calls, which you can also categorize), automatically send text messages to callers that you are driving, and helps you stay focused on the road. Also, there is a Riding Mode for bikers. Smart Driving mode is the best alternate method if you don’t own an Android Auto enabled car. Android Auto will limit distractions while you are driving. For example, Android Auto won’t disturb you with every app notifications. It hides all notifications except phone calls and texts from supported messaging apps.

Both Smart Driving and Riding mode can turn on/off from the Quick settings menu. In Smart Driving mode, your Realme phone’s Bluetooth will turn on and connect to your car’s Bluetooth kit automatically, if you have previously connected it. In the Riding mode, all messages, other than incoming calls, will mute.

Smart Driving Customization:

A few customizations are also available for Smart Driving mode. You can DND (do not disturb) mode to mute all the notifications except the incoming calls.

For incoming calls, you can choose who can call you – None, Anyone, Contacts only, and Favorite contacts only. But, to not to miss any urgent call, there is a Ring for Repeated Calls option in the Driving mode.

If you enabled this option and if a caller calls you repeatedly within 3 minutes from the same number, your phone will ring automatically.

The other two options are Auto switch to speakerphone mode and Auto Send SMS to rejected calls. Also, you can edit the message to your own.
