Android 9.0 Pie AOSP Port has already been available for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Mi 3 and Mi 4, etc. If you want to taste the latest Pie on your Mi A1, then follow our installation guide. If you are excited to taste some features of the Android 9 Pie, then you can download and install the AOSP ROM via TWRP. Installation is simple, but requires a clean flash. Back up all important data before flashing the custom ROM.

Note that this custom ROM includes GApps, so you do not need to flash the Open GApps package separately.
