Samsung has released a new app called “Good Lock” that brings an overhauled UI (user interface) and new features to Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Available for download in the Samsung App store, the ‘Good Lock’ app will bring an advanced Samsung System UI to Lockscreen, notification shade, quick settings menu and few other areas of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
Samsung’s ‘Good Lock’ app brings widgets, an expandable list of app shortcuts and an advanced notification system to Galaxy S7 and S7 edge’s lockscreen. These features can be useful, if you prefer to use your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge without the App drawer.
With this app, you can access list of widgets from the lockscreen by swiping down the clock area. You can add your favorite widgets on the lockscreen to quick access them. It also replaces the classic TouchWiz notification system to an advanced notification system, which look like stock Android. The app will also add an expandable list of app shortcuts at the bottom of the lockscreen, which is customizable to your tastes.
Samsung’s Good Lock app will work on Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Note 5, Galaxy S6 and S6 edge running on Android Marshmallow, but unfortunately, it is currently available in the US only. Users of other regions can try out the app by downloading the APK [HERE]. To install the APK, you need to enable ‘Unknown sources” option in the Settings menu.
Note that, as the app is closely integrated to the system, it cannot be uninstalled as a regular app. To uninstall the, go to Good Lock settings menu and use the uninstall option. (Source)
