Google has released a preview version of Android P for supported devices with new features and visual changes. Android P Pixel Launcher has some UI enhancements. You can see a new shaded dock (semi-transparent) and voice search icon on the home screen. Currently, Android P is available for Google Pixel/Pixel XL and Pixel 2/ Pixel XL 2 devices only. However, Android P Pixel launcher can install on any phone runs Nougat and above.

Compared to Android Oreo Pixel Launcher, there are not many noticeable changes in the Android P launcher. Interested users can try Android P Pixel Launcher on Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P or any other devices by downloading its APK. Pixel Launcher APK is available on APK Mirror, which you can try on non-Pixel devices.

As its ancestor, the new Pixel launcher has also features Adaptive Icon, App shortcuts, Notification dots, At A Glance widget, swipe up to access the app drawer, weather and calendar widget, new folder icon and bottom Google search box, etc.

To make the new launcher default, go to settings > home app, choose Pixel launcher and reboot your phone.
