Generative AI Wallpapers is one of the new customization features of Android 14, which lets you generate custom wallpapers using artificial intelligence. Though currently, the feature is available on Google Pixel 8, other Android phone users can try the new AI wallpaper on their device by sideloading the AI Wallpapers app APK. Here is how to use generative AI wallpaper on other Android phones.

The AI wallpaper app lets you create custom background images for your smartphone using the text-to-image diffusion model of Google. It uses machine learning to create dynamic wallpapers that change based on your surroundings. However, the Generative AI wallpaper app requires Android 14 and up devices.

How to Get Generative AI Wallpaper Feature on Any Android Phone?

1. Download the Generative AI wallpaper APK from APK Mirror (link) and install it on your phone.

2. Next, open the Settings app, go to the Wallpaper & Style menu, and select the More Wallpapers option.

3. Select the AI Wallpaper from the available choices.

4. Next, accept the terms and conditions.

5. Choose a theme from the available list to generate your first AI wallpaper.

6. Make the desired changes, and tap the Create Wallpaper option.

7. The AI starts rendering your background image and brings four distinct options based on your inputs.

8. There is an Inspire Me option at the bottom. Choose it to get random wallpapers for you.

9. Once done, tap the check mark at the top right of the wallpapers to set it as your phone’s lock screen and home screen wallpaper.

You can create many wallpapers by selecting a different category. All your generated wallpaper creations will appear in the Your AI wallpapers section at the bottom of the main page. As mentioned above, the Generative AI Wallpapers feature is available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Other Android phones running on Android 14 can try the AI wallpaper APK to get the Generative AI Wallpapers feature.
