Generative AI Wallpapers is one of the new customization features of Android 14, which lets you generate custom wallpapers using artificial intelligence. Currently available in Google Pixel 8 series devices, the Generative AI Wallpapers feature helps you create new background images for your smartphone using the text-to-image diffusion model of Google.

Android 14's Generative AL Wallpapers Feature

The Generative AI Wallpapers option is available in the Wallpaper & Style section of your Pixel phone, where you can generate wallpapers by selecting categories, like classic art, imaginary, mineral, painting, etc., and using the text fields to render different results. Here is how to use the Generative AI wallpapers to create new wallpapers on your Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

If you like customization on your phone, the Generative AI Wallpapers will be a welcome feature of Android 14. You can use it to create custom and original wallpapers using generative AI.

How to Use Generative AI Wallpapers Feature on Google Pixel Phone?

1. First, long-press on the Home screen and select the Wallpaper & Style menu on your phone.

2. Next, tap the More Wallpapers button and select the AI Wallpaper option at the top of the menu.

3. Choose a theme for the wallpaper you want to render (Imaginary, Mineral, Luminous, Painting, Texture, Dreamscape, etc.).

4. Next, choose the Inspire Me option at the bottom.

5. Pick your prompt and select a color style.

6. Now, tap the Create Wallpaper option, and it will start rendering wallpaper for you.

7. Once done, tap the check mark at the top right to set it as your phone’s wallpaper.

Use Android 14's Generative AL Wallpapers feature on Pixel 8

You can create many wallpapers by selecting a different category. All your generated wallpaper creations will appear in the Your AI wallpapers section at the bottom of the main page. As mentioned above, the Generative AI Wallpapers option is available only on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Older Pixel phones and devices from other manufacturers may get the feature in upcoming months.
