Macro Tube is simple to use add-on for Windows Media Center that gives a greater YouTube video experience in your Media Center.

It allows you to search and watch YouTube, Dailymotion and Soapbox video from within Media Center.

Macro Tube plug-in available for both 32 bit and 64bit Windows and its functionality is pretty straight forward.

After installation, launch your Media Center and under Extras (Extras Library) locate the new Macro Tube plug-in entry. Then select a video service -YouTube, Dailymotion or Soapbox – and use the Search button provided at the top left to search the video site you are in.

Note: The buffering speed is slow comparing to browser, so, it may not suitable for users with slow internet connection speed.

  1. I think youtube is a great tool for anyone interested in watching or uploading videos. I have been using the site for years now, and still think it is doing a good job. Ok, so sometimes it gets criticized for being too easy to break copyright laws, but youtube’s online security is getting better. The best thing about the site is its great video search engine and database. No wonder it made it as the top sharing site on http://www.dozenvideo.com this month. But there’s some tough competition out there and as online video gets bigger and bigger, there’s sure to be a backlash. Keep online videos free and easy to share!
