OxygenOS Open Beta 25 and Open Beta 23 for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T have been released with a bunch of bug fixes, optimizations, new features, improvements and January 2019 security patches. OnePlus 5/5T users who have already installed an OxygenOS Open Beta build will receive the new version as a normal OTA update.

OxygenOS Open Beta 25 and Open Beta 23 for OnePlus 5 and 5T are now available for download. The update included some of the features of recently released OxygenOS Open Beta 11 and Open Beta 3 for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, such as more unit options for precipitation, visibility, pressure and other data for the Weather app, deep integration of Google Duo, etc.

The new features in this update also include new illustrations and design on blank pages for gallery, support for migrating data from iPhone, improvements for screen brightness control, caller identification feature (India only), recommended tools in the Toolbox and more.

OnePlus 5/5T runs previous OxygenOS Open Beta build check for the OTA update by going to System update menu. If you would like to move from the stable OxygenOS version to Open Beta, then here is how to install it manually.

How to install OxygenOS Open Beta 25/23 for OnePlus 5/5T

1. Download OxygenOS Open Beta 25 full OTA firmware from here and Open Beta 23 from here.

2. Save the full OTA update zip file on your phone’s storage

3. Power down the phone, and then boot it into recovery mode by using Volume Down and Power button combination.

4. In recovery, choose “Install from internal storage”, find your .zip file and flash it. Your device will reboot automatically after installing the OS.

NOTE: Once installed the Open Beta build, you will continue receive Open Beta OTA update in place of the official stable update. However, to return to the OxygenOS stable channel, it is necessary to perform a clean installation. It means all your data will lose. (Source – OnePlus)
