OnePlus 5 and 5T has been updated to OxygenOS Open Beta 19 and Open Beta 17 respectively. The update does not include any major features. It is still based on Android Oreo and includes September 2018 Google security patch, bug fixes and optimizations. OnePlus starts rolling out the OxygenOS Open Beta 19 for OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 17 OTA for OnePlus 5T. The OTA update weighs around 302MB. As always, the OTA rollout is incremental, so it will take few hours or even few days to reach to all OnePlus 5 and 5T running on the Open Beta channel.

What is new in OxygenOS Open Beta 19/17?

– Updated Android security patch to 2018.9
– Optimized UI for the Weather App
– OnePlus Switch: Added manual connection method if unable to connect switch with QR code on the old device
– OnePlus Switch: Supported backup and recovery for application data including the home screen, lock screen, and APP layout
– Bug fixes and support for more Android models

OnePlus 5/5T runs OxygenOS Open Beta will get the OTA update for this update soon. Alternatively, you can use the Oxygen Updater app (unofficial) to get the update early.

If you are a non-beta user and want to install the OxygenOS Open Beta 19 or 17 on your OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T to enjoy latest features, then you can download and install the full ROM, which weighs around 1.6GB.
