Motorola starts rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo update for Moto G5s Plus with June 2018 security patch. The update will include several enhancements, new features, changes that fix bugs and improve the stability of the phone. The update might also include Motorola’s own features. It is also expected that Moto G5 Plus and other eligible Moto devices will get Android 8.1 Oreo update sooner or later.
Along with June 2018 security patch, Moto G5s Plus Android 8.1 Oreo update will include new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls, improved data saver and battery features, new power menu UI and Bluetooth improvements, revamped Pixel Launcher, rounded status bar icon and more.
The incremental Oreo 8.1 OTA (over the air) update starts rolling out and it may take some times to get it on your Moto G5s Plus. If you have not received OTA notification message for this update, follow the steps below to manually update your phone.

Before proceeding, ensure at least 50% battery charge remaining on the phone and connect your device to Wi-Fi to download the update.
How to Install Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update
1. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates.
2. Select “Yes, I’m in”.
3. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
4. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
Keep in mind that once updated to this version, you cannot downgrade to a previous software version. (Source – 1, 2)
