Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 8.3.1 to a number of devices with calling low volume fix, random reboot fix, and more. The incremental OTA updates starts getting on supported devices. If you prefer manual installation, then below is the download link for each device. Xiaomi recommends back up your data and apps before upgrading to MIUI 9.

MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 8.3.1 supported device list includes Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 4, Redmi 3S, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi Y1/Y1 Lite, Redmi 5A, Mi Max and Mi Max Prime. More devices will get the build in the coming days. Check out the changelog of this update below.

Fix – Missing Titles for ‘Bookmark’ & ‘Manage Downloads’ for Text Size M (02-27)

If you are a new Mi/Redmi device user, do remember that this is MIUI 9 Beta build and may hold several bugs. This build is recommended for tech-savvy users. Stable ROM users need to wait for 1-2 months to get build on their devices.

If you would like to install MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM and if your device is running on stable build or older MIUI version, then you need to download Fastboot ROM and use the Fastboot method to flash the ROM.

If you are on most recent version of MIUI 9 Global Beta, then you can install the Recovery ROM via Updater app.
