Selected users will get the EMUI 9.0 beta firmware via over the air. If you want to experience new software features in advance, here is how to apply for beta.

Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 interface is based on Android 9 Pie and it features intuitive design, simplified UI, faster app launch times, full-screen navigation, Digital Balance (an alternative to Google’s Digital Wellbeing), Nature’s sounds for alarms and ringtones, and much more.

How to Apply for EMUI 9.0 Beta

In order to join the Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei Y9 EMUI 9.0 Beta, download the HwFut app APK file from here and install it on your device. Open the app and accept terms & condition and then login with your HW ID.

After login, select Personal > Join Project > Available Project. You will receive OTA update notification once it is ready. Select to update your phone.

Powers by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 659 Octa-core processor, it is available in 128/64/32 storage options and 4G RAM option. Huawei Y9 was launched in October 2018 with EMUI 8.2 (Android 8.1 Oreo). It features a big 6.5- inches IPS LCD display (1080 x 2340), HiSilicon Kirin 710 Octa-core processor and available in 128/64 storage options and 6GB/4G RAM/3GB RAM options. For camera, the device features dual camera for back (13MP + 2MP) and front (16MP + 2MP). For battery, it features 4000 mAh battery with fast charging.
