The much awaited Face Unlock features has started to roll out to OnePlus 5 as OxygenOS Open Beta 3. The Face Unlock was first introduced with OnePlus 5T, which allows users unlocking their phone using front-facing camera. Unlike Android’s built-in Face Unlock feature, OnePlus’s Face Unlock is extremely accurate (it uses special software for it), and so the overall unlocking process is quick and accurate.

Besides the Face Unlock feature, OxygenOS Open Beta 3 adds a shortcut for Recorder app on Launcher. Also, the update includes various optimizations, general bug fixes and December 2017 security patch. The Android 8.0 Oreo based OxygenOS Open Beta 3 is now available for download, which weighs around 1.6GB.
